WOW Cristiano Ronaldo has been crowned as  Uefa's Best Player in Europe for his Champions League-winning heroics with Real Madrid in 2013-14.

The Portuguese, 29, scored a remarkable 17 goals in 11 European games as Carlo Ancelotti's stormed to the Decima and struck three times en route to Copa del Rey glory as Madrid completed the cup double.

Though the Santiago Bernabeu side were less successful in La Liga, Ronaldo still averaged more than a goal a game (31 efforts in 30 matches) as they finished third behind Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.

The former Manchester United forward was voted as the best player ahead of Bayern Munich duo Manuel Neuer and Arjen Robben, who starred as Pep Guardiola's men lifted four of a possible six trophies last season.

"I'm really, really happy," Ronaldo said upon being presented the award following the draw for the 2014-15 Champions League group stage on Thursday.

"I have to say thank you to my team-mates, to my family, my friends. I don't have this trophy in my museum - I'll put it there straight away."

Ronaldo has already begun the new campaign in superb fashion, scoring three goals in four games including his double as Real Madrid defeated Sevilla to win the Uefa Super Cup earlier in August.

So Sad As Ebola Kills Another Medical Doctor In Port Harcourt

 Nigerians are still sad over the death of  Dr Stella Adadevoh and many other  doctor, who secretly treated a diplomat who had contact with the Liberian-American Patrick Sawyer, has died of Ebola in Nigeria.

The doctor, whose name is yet to be identified , died on Friday. His wife has taken ill and has been quarantined in Port Harcourt. Interestingly, the diplomat the doctor treated is still alive.

The Minister of health and Rivers State government are expected to make a statement on the incident.

Congrate Nigeria Has Successfully Contains Ebola, Has Only One Case Left - Health Minister---SEE

The Minister of Health Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu said today that Nigeria has been able to reduce the number of Ebola cases to just one.

At a press briefing held today August 26th in Abuja, Prof. Onyebuchi said only one patient out of the 13 confirmed cases in Nigeria is still at the Isolation center.

 He said five of those infected died while seven have successfully recovered and have been discharged. He also said two of the nurses who attended to Patrick Sawyer at the First Consultant hospital were discharged yesterday.

IBB Has Condemns President Jonathan's Deployment Of Military For Elections

The Former military president Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) has condom the action of president Jonathan drafting out  the military for electoral duties, saying it would expose them to compromise, even as he pointed out that it is difficult for the FG to fight Boko Haram and negotiate with them.

There Is Still Hope: Ebola Drug Finally Arrives Nigeria--SEE

WOW As A Nigerian scientist has raised the hope of survival for patients of the deadly Ebola virus disease in the country with the donation of an experimental drug for treating the disease, known as Nano- Silver.

At a briefing in Abuja, Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, informed journalists about the arrival of the drug and confirmed that another patient had tested positive to the disease.

He did not name the donor of the drug. At present, the minister said the number of persons that had tested positive to the disease in the country was 10, including the late Liberian.

The Nurse Who Treated Late Patrick Sawyer Dies In Lagos

This is so sad  in Nigeria. Another nurse who had contact with late Liberian-American Mr. Patrick Sawyer is dead. Nurse Obi Justina Ejelonu, who attended to Patrick Sawyer, a primary carrier of the deadly virus who flew to Nigeria on his way to attend a conference in Calabar, died in Lagos.

Relatives of the beautiful Nurse have confirmed the unfortunate news about her death, adding that Ms Ejelonu had been kept in a quarantine facility in Lagos, after she tested positive to Ebola.

Aliko Dangote Donates N150million To Nigeria To Fight Ebola Virus

The Africa's richest man Aliko Dangote has donated N150million to help in the fight of the spread of the Ebola virus in Nigeria.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Dangote Foundation, Mrs Adhiambo Odaga announced this at a media briefing at the Ministry of Health, Abuja on Monday. She said the money will be available for the establishment of an Ebola emergency operation centre in Lagos.

“After bilateral discussion with the honourable minister and his team, Dangote foundation has funded the establishment of the Ebola emergency operation in Lagos, that is being done through grant from the foundation of just a little over N150 million,” she said.

Shocking As Soldiers Run From Gwoza & Boko Haram Captures Military Tank, Army Commander Missing--SEE
