The Captain Of Capsized South Korean Ship That K!lled 300 People Have Been Given 36Yrs In Prison

Captain of the South Korean Sewol ferry that sank on April 16th which  k!lled over 300 students on their way to a field trip and other passengers on board, has been sentenced to 36 years in prison.

Lee Joon-seok, was sentenced today November 11th after a 6-month trial, after being found guilty of violating 'Seamen's law' and abandonment causing death and injury.

He was accused of abandoning his ship and leaping to safety while hundreds of his passengers remained inside the ferry as it sank. Prosecutors said he failed to use available equipments in his ship such as life rafts, life vests and announcements to evacuate the passengers.

The Ferry's chief engineer was found guilty of murder and sentenced to 30 years, while the remaining 13 crew members were sentenced five to 20 years.

Another military helicopter crash. A Nigerian Airforce helicopter crash-landed in Damare town in Adamawa state on Monday afternoon.

The Military sources said  that the crashed chopper was carrying military hardware and some military advisers to the frontline in Adamawa state when it crash-landed in the Damare area of the state.

Since the beginning of the war against Boko Haram, several military planes and helicopters have crashed in the northeast including an airforce jet which was shot down by the terrorists.

Judge Agrees That Status Quo Should Remain As Tambuwal Storm Court With 68 Lawyers

Hon. Aminu Tambuwal the Speaker of the House of Rep stormed the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court with 68 senior lawyers, saying his life is in great danger.

The Speaker who was equally accompanied to the court by members of the APC in the House, urged the court to direct the Inspector-General General of Police, Sulaiman Abba to restore his security details.

Addressing the court through his lead counsel, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, Tambuwal specifically accused the PDP and its Chairman Alhaji Adamu Mu’Azu of plotting his downfall.
